Ministry program evaluations often include surveys and other consultations
(i.e. focus groups, key informant interviews etc.) that provide valuable data
on stakeholder characteristics, activities and outcomes. The data is used to
analyse the extent to which the program is meeting the needs of participants
and the program is meeting intended goals. The ministry adheres to all privacy
legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic
Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Freedom of Information and Protection of
Privacy Act (FIPPA), in the storage and use of all survey and field data.
