The Renewable Energy Approval Projects (REA Projects) data contains project type, project information, approval status and project county, district or region for projects subject to a Renewable Energy Approval under O. Reg. 359/09.

Current REA Projects data is available on the Access Environment webpage and historic data from 2010-2025 is available for download on the Data Catalogue below.

The REA Projects data can be downloaded from the Access Environment webpage at: https://www.ontario.ca/page/list-environmental-approvals-and-registrations.

Please search for ‘REA-RENEWABLE ENERGY APPROVAL’ approval type to download the CSV files.
