The HBSC is sponsored by the World Health Organization - European Office in collaboration with Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). There are now 43 participating countries and regions from North America and Europe. Canada has participated since 1989. Topics addressed in the survey include mental health, healthy eating, physical activity, bullying, substance use, sexual health, and relationships with parents, teachers, peers and community. The 2009/10 cycle marked the first time that Ontario specific data was available.
