Letter of Permission (LOP): Declarations

A declaration is a requirement for a request (application) submitted by a school board to the Ministry of Education for a Letter of Permission (LOP) to hire a non-certified teacher for specified subjects/courses for the current school year. Every application must include a signed declaration from the director of education or secretary of the board or the supervisory officer of the school authority stating that the requirements of the Ontario Regulation 142/08, "Letters of Permission" under Section 8 of the Education Act have been met.
