Crown land: ministry unpatented land

These are parcels of land, and land under water — that the Crown has not granted or sold to people or organizations for private use — and are still under ownership of the Crown.

These lands are managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources.

This data class also includes:

  • patented properties that are forfeited (forfeitures) back to the Crown
  • patented parcels that have been depatented
  • short-term or temporary dispositions
