Use of biomass for heating greenhouses in Ontario

Biomass combustion simply means burning organic material. For millennia, humans have used this basic technology to create heat and, later, to generate power through steam. The higher cost of heating a greenhouse using natural gas or oil has resulted in many growers switching to alternate fuels.

This dataset contains name, greenhouse size, biomass combustion unit and type of fuel.
