Ontario Imagery

View spatial imagery of Ontario captured by satellite or airplane.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry partners with ministries, municipalities and external organizations to capture aerial and satellite imagery. Digital imagery tiles are acquired in spring, summer or fall and divided into collections that cover portions of the province from 1994 onward. Collections are primarily available as GeoTIFFs with red, green, blue and near-infrared bands.

The Ontario Imagery Web Map Service enables users to view the most current imagery. An index provides the geographic footprint, vintage and metadata for the collections. Learn more about ordering imagery. Imagery dating back to the 1940s is available from the Archives of Ontario.
